Check with the controller manufacturer or the user guide for instructions on how to install/setup this specific device. If it's not listed, then most likely there is a problem with the controller itself. I get choppy playback on audio immediately after mixdown of any song, 100% of the time. Windows audio has also been acting funny. I believe this to be a windows thing, and not an S1 thing.

No joy on finding any drivers, etc to reinstall. Microsoft stripped out the MIDI Mapper in Windows 8 and 10. Has anyone else had this happen, and is there a fix? I have googled the problem, and there is supposed to be a midi mapper application in the control panel. It becomes a "switch option, restart S1, rinse repeat" scenario, with blind luck winning over all to get the synth working. If I switch the settings on the device to MS GS Wavetable synth, same thing happens. This happens whether or not my USB keyboard is attached. On S1V2 startup, I get a message "microsoft midi mapper failed to initialize". Location: Somewhere in the swamps of Jersey.
